PartyRock Guide
What is PartyRock?
PartyRock is a space where you can build AI-generated apps in a playground powered by Amazon Bedrock. It’s a fast and fun way to learn about generative AI.
How does it work?
PartyRock uses foundation models from Amazon Bedrock to turn your ideas into working PartyRock apps. You can create apps and run them until your Backstage page shows that you’ve used 100 percent of your PartyRock credit. To get the most out of your PartyRock experience, you can do the following:
- Get started by creating a PartyRock app. This provides you with a starting place to learn in.
- Build your app by editing UI elements called widgets. You can change widget prompts so that they connect to each other and accomplish different things.
- Take the next steps and publish your PartyRock app so you can share it with others.
TIP
: PartyRock is intended for use with English language prompts only.Create an app
There are 3 different ways to create a new PartyRock app.
Choose to start with a prompt, remix an app, or start with an empty app.
Start with a prompt
Use the app builder on the PartyRock welcome page and write a description of the app you want PartyRock to create for you. A 1–3 sentence prompt will usually work, or you can choose to be more descriptive. Write about what you want your app to take as input and generate as output. For tips about how to create a good prompt, see Prompt engineering guidelines in the Amazon Bedrock User Guide.
After you submit your prompt, PartyRock assembles an app for you.
You can then test, edit, and share the app.
Remix an app
See something that inspires you? You can start with an existing app and create changes to make it your own.
- Start by finding any published app. The app could be from another PartyRock user or from the PartyRock sample apps.
- Choose Remix in the top right corner of the app page to create a copy of the app in your account.
- Go to your Backstage page to view and select the copy.
You can then make new changes to the app in your account by using Edit mode.
Start with an empty app
If you prefer starting with a blank page, get started building from scratch. This can be the route to go if you have a specific layout in mind or if you want to have more control as you try out a new concept. You can configure the initial widgets yourself instead of having the PartyRock app builder assemble them.
